Igone de Jongh

Igone de Jongh is de meest bejubelde en gelauwerde prima ballerina van ons land en een grote inspiratiebron voor balletliefhebbers. Na haar carrière bij het Nationaal Ballet tourde zij de afgelopen seizoenen langs de Nederlandse theaters met haar eigen programma’s I en Zin in liefde. Daarnaast is zij medeoprichter van The United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation, ter bescherming, ondersteuning en verspreiding van de Oekraïense ballet- en danscultuur.

After three full-length theater shows, Igone de Jongh goes back to the core. Back to her ultimate form of beauty, dance! In Beauty Persists, Igone comes to the theaters with a Triple Bill: she will perform three world premieres. All created especially for her by various nationally and internationally renowned choreographers. Dance pieces in which they, each in their own way, visualize beauty. Worlds are created based on different zeitgeists because the beauty of the past is still there.  

Igone de Jongh is the most acclaimed and awarded prima ballerina of our country and a great source of inspiration for all ballet lovers. After her career with the National Ballet, she toured the Dutch theaters in recent years with her own shows I and Zin in liefde. She is also co-founder of The United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation, to protect, support, and disseminate Ukrainian ballet and dance culture.
